(\u2026) Il n\u2019accomplit que les mouvements exig\u00e9s par l\u2019action. Buster est toujours au travail. Charlot, au contraire s\u2019ing\u00e9nie \u00e0 ne rien faire ou \u00e0 saboter sa t\u00e2che. (\u2026) Ce moralisme de Keaton lui a ali\u00e9n\u00e9 jadis l\u2019intelligentsia qui lui pr\u00e9f\u00e9rait l\u2019anticonformisme, le nihilisme de Chaplin. Rien de corrosif ici. Pas de critique de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tablie mais, sous le respect et les \u00e9gards qu\u2019on lui t\u00e9moigne, celle-ci ne laisse pas moins appara\u00eetre ses contradictions.
